first we discovered and then had repaired a little wall damage.. no biggie and now good as new :)
then we painted hundreds of feet of molding- which is still in process of being installed...jeff had a man party to help with the installation which included George, Dustin, Justin and maybe others that i don't know about, because I got out of there, to let them be manly in peace! :)
these are the faux brushed nickel switchplates i painted. i wanted it to mimic the very cool, but too expensive ones i've seen in the stores. its close, not the same, but close enough. :)
and... the gorgeous FLOORS!!!! yay!!!
they began as this...
and then were this...
and ended as this:
Jeff did an amazing job... and his wonderful helpers;
dustin
steve
daniel
brandon
and Tim (not pictured) The floor is gorgeous. I walk around the house looking down at it is awe and wonder. and Libby constantly "swims" on it, still unsure how to make a sharp turn on it with her little doggie paws without doing a belly flop first.
the carpet was then installed, thanks to our friend Mark McDaniel from Carpet Concepts.
He took good care of us and we love love love the results.
Our final step was to sign the mortgage papers with my Granny. Here we are after the transaction was completed. Can i just mention again what an amazing blessing this has been for us?
Yay! new house!!!!!
