Spring means....

YARD WORK!
Jeff''s wonderful parents came up again to help us in our yard, and we got a lot accomplished! Don't forget this when seeing these pictures!

From top to bottom:
We washed siding,
trimmed the crepe myrtles,
annihilated the poison ivy bed,
and.... drum roll please.....
We Planted and Edged and Mulched the front bed! YAY! One part of the yard is complete!  We used rocks left from my Granny's rock garden- which are so cool.  There are tons of geodes and fossils and even some chunks of green glass from the old Ford Glass plant in Nashville (which many of my great uncles and grandfather worked at) .
Then we built a little edger wall in the front of the house bed and planted a few more bushes- azaleas, hostas, and rhodedendron.  The bricks were also from my Granny's gardens so this weekend's projects had a lot of impact for not a lot of cash. Yay! We love those kinds of projects :)
The last pic is one of our next projects- taming the HUGE forsythia bush... and mulching etc...

Thanks Harroll and Linda for all the wonderful help! And thanks to Granny Bergen for the rocks, bricks, and plants!

Tell Jeff's parents they need to come to our house next. I hate landscaping. :o/
