Easter

We were honored to host the Henry family Easter this year.  Typically we have gone to Arkansas to see Jeff's extended family, but a fast approaching wedding in May as well as Jeff's Sunday responsibilities caused us to stay at home.  We were so excited to have his parents, sister, and future brother-in-law with on Easter!  We all spent time together Saturday night and sampled the gourmet Mexican of Dos Margaritas in Gallatin.
Then Sunday morning we all went to First Baptist to the Easter Service.  According to our pastor, over 5,000 people came to the four services that morning.  Needless to say it was beautiful, and also a bit of a zoo! We really love our church, and its really special to share it with family.
After church I hosted my first Easter lunch complete with ham and all the traditional sides.  Growing up, I often had very eclectic Easter meals- my favorite being the Greek feast my mom has prepared for us  a few years.  It was fun to be the hostess this time and celebrate Jesus' resurrection in our own way.  I think this is a holiday that is both  about spending time with family and friends, and also, more importantly, honoring the Risen Savior.  We are still forming our own traditions in how we celebrate Easter, and having a lot of fun doing it! :)
In true Henry fashion, we took pictures in our Sunday clothes... we joke that we take a picture of every possible combination of people.  Here are a few of them:
