The Great Remodel Weekend #3 (3/26-28)

The Great Remodel-
this weekend is perhaps the most exciting weekend so far in this project. Here were our lofty goals:
1. Take down popcorn in the Master bedroom, living, and dining rooms.
2. Sand Spackle and paint ceilings in all of the above.
3. Rip out carpet in all of the above
4. Finally select and buy the paint for these rooms
5. Paint... all of the above :)
We knew it was a bit far fetched for two afternoons/evenings and one full day of work... but...
We..
Did...
All of the above! Yay!
After working after class/work on Thursday til 10pm, Friday after work till 11:30 pm, and Saturday from 10am-11pm... with tons of wonderful help- our list is complete!
Here are the results:

My studio- it may look similar to the last pic... but if you look closely you can see there is a second coat on the walls, and a fabulous "cut in" job completed... Thank you Brittany and Erin for coming so far and being such wonderful friends...and painters!!! Also thanks to Aarron for solving the oil painted trim mystery and showing us his mad painting skills in solving it for us!

Jeff's "man cave" that will no longer be referred to as a man cave... He says it doesn't qualify because he's sharing it with guest room and therefore will not be fully manly... :) Notice the second coat and the again- phenomenal cutting in- Thanks you Leslie and Erin!

The Master Bedroom. The ceiling is down and sanded (Jeff is amazing) and painted (Thomas is awesome), carpet is out (Justin and Josh are wonderful) and the walls are painted beautifully (Amy is super cool) I'm running out of adjectives.. :)

And the main rooms. The living room ceiling is down, sanded, and spackled- see how wonderfully smooth it looks?

The walls are painted- I am in love with the color... It only took four tries to find the right one (Summer did an awesome job helping with the cutting in ... and little Daniel was wonderful help... and entertainment... :)

And the Dining room- ah the dining room... I saved this color to be the last one I painted because I as so excited about it- and I absolutely adore it.

The late crew consisted of me, Amy and Jeff... and they had to endure my endless exclamations of "Look how pretty this is!!!" the entire night. :)

My sweet fiends Erin and Brittany came up from Cooke-vegas to help. We're enjoying Stroud's BBQ here- possibly my new fav BBQ, and most def two of my favorite friends.

Poor sweet Libby in her little room... she played outside some of the day, but the rest of the time she either whined or slept in here... brighter days are coming soon!!!

We truly have amazing friends! Thanks Leslie, Josh, Justin, Aarron, Erin, Brittany, Summer, Thomas, little Daniel, and Amy... Our day long painting party was a huge success... and now the house feels like our home even more!
