It is on a dead end street that dead ends, literally, to the water. The other direction you cross the only "highway"- Gulf Blvd. and are at the beach. This chain of island along the Fl coast is barely two blocks wide.
From the outside it looks like a little gnome house, i wasn't sure if Jeff would be able to stand up straight... (We found those chairs in the back, and if you avoid the rust.. they work just fine :) )
Our chariot. Alamo car rentals let us pick out whichever compact we wanted. While i was trying to decide which color chevy cobalt i prferred, Jeff spotted this beauty :) With a sunroof, faux leather seats, and two doors, this sporty number has treated us well so far. i am still too young to drive a rental... which seems funny- too young to drive a rental yet old enough to be married two years.. I think I'll enjoy that while it lasts:) Jeff doesn't mind, he calls it his sports car and vrooms around like its a convertible :)
as soon as you walk in the door- our little table and chairs... which we ate pancakes and bacon at this morning.
To the immediate right is a little nook and the door to our lime green bathroom. Across from the table in chairs is our sweet kitchen, with a grand total of two skillets, a few plats cups etc... and utensils. And, for the first time in my life, I'm taller than the refrigerator. Its so cute.
I think the best part of our bungalow is that it isn't cheesy Florida decor. The bed is a really pretty gold, burnt orange and red leaf pattern. I've already decided that our first house will have spanish tile floors somewhere in it... they are so beautiful! So yeah, the bedroom, and thats it. Perfect for just the two of us.
and the absolute best part... french doors open to this secluded little patio/courtyard. It's home to these tiny little lizards that run for their lives everytime your open the door, and play tag in the mornings on the tree trunks. Libby would be in heaven out here with them!
FYI- Jeff didn't take part in the previous part... but he totally agrees.. :)
