Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Henry fam!

Somehow I actually got Christmas cards out this year... but after sending them I couldn't remember who I had sent them to- so if you are reading this and didn't get one- you are very dear to us... I am just forgetful these days... :) I think there's a term for that... We didn't include a pic this year- which I now wish we had- but the thought of wrangling two dogs and getting myself presentable was too daunting at the time.We'll have plenty of pics to share around June anyways!

 Despite all of the silly blunders above- We love you all and miss the ones we haven't seen over the holidays! Thank you for your love and support of us over this past year, and we pray for God's blessings in your lives in the coming year!

Henry 2010 Top 10

#10    We have had a few additions to our extended family-: a new brother-in-law via Jeff’s sister Christina’s marriage to Ben, and two new nephews; Wesley was born in June to Rachel’s sister Melanie and her husband Josh, and David to Rachel’s step-sister Amy and her husband Jeff.  We love welcoming new members into our family!

#9    We are still slowly completing tasks on our house re-do list.  A remodeled bathroom and some landscaping additions were projects completed this year… more to come in that area!

#8    Our two little furry babies, Libby and Chaco have had a great year of eating, sleeping, barking at the neighborhood bunny (who taunts them)..as well as just being cute :)

#7    Jeff finished his Masters degree in Youth Ministry at the end of 2009.  He has really enjoyed being an adult without homework this year!  He has been able to watch football, hang out with friends, and just do whatever he wants.  

#6    At the end of 2009 Rachel found out she has some food sensitivities that were making her sick.  This year we have adjusted to a new lifestyle of eating both gluten and dairy free. As a result, Rachel is much  healthier than before and we are both in better shape. We are so grateful for finding the cause and the restoration of health!

#5    Jeff is finishing his first year as the Middle School Minister at First Baptist Hendersonville.  It has been a very busy year of learning, growing, and ministering to a few hundred really great middle school students.

#4    Rachel finished her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in August and is working some at The Babb Center, the counseling ministry at First Baptist. She is hoping to add more hours of counseling in the new year and begin combining her passions by doing some creative arts and therapy with her clients in the near future.

#3    2010 has been another year of growth for both of us, both individually and in our marriage.  God has truly blessed us with each other and we are so thankful that He continues to grow us closer together, and to Him.

#2    We have dreamed and hoped about a backpacking trip to Europe since before we were married.  This August we got the opportunity to finally go!  Three weeks and three countries later we experienced the most amazing travel adventure of our marriage thus far.

and #1- We brought back our very favorite souvenir from Europe- We are expecting Baby Henry in June of 2011.  We are very excited about beginning this new journey together, and would love to have your prayers for a healthy pregnancy for baby, mommy, and daddy!
