We are blessed to have three fathers to celebrate on Father's day.
First, my dad's birthday always falls very close to Father's day- June 18th. We decided this year to give him the option of going out to a restaurant of his choice- expecting his usual favorite Korean fare. Instead he requested a nearby Mexican restaurant. We had a fun fiesta celebrating his two special days.
Then we were able to spend some time with my step-dad- Steve at our families new meeting place- Ryan's steakhouse in Lebanon. Its not that its our favorite restaurant in the whole world- bt it takes all of us 25-35 minutes to get there from Cookeville, West Nashville, and Gallatin. We ate, and ate, and ate :) Ryans is a bit of a challenge for a now strange eater like myself (I may explain more later...)- but Jeff was sweet enough to work out a deal with the manager and I was able to just get the salad bar. Fun Father's day number two!
We got to go down to see the Georgia Henrys for Father's day this year... or to be more accurate- the day before Father's day... (now that Jeff is a minister missing Sundays is only an option a few times a year)
As usual we had a fun time- the girls shopping, the boys playing golf, and all of us just enjoying time together. On Saturday morning we decided to sit around and select wedding pictures. Now, one would assume we mean pictures from the newlyweds- Ben and Christina... but really we first looked at our four year old wedding pictures, and picked out what to order :) Little late on that I guess. Then we looked at Christina's beautiful photos. Her photographer did a phenomenal job- they are beautiful!
Since we've been married holidays are fun and challenging- fitting time in with all sides of our family in some way is not always possible, but we really enjoy it when we can do it. :)
unfortunately we only ahve a few pics from the festivities- apparently we forgot we owned a camera for much of this summer... :)
