So, we now joke that Jeff's birthday was kind of a let down after all the excitement of the days before it. Even so, he had a good one... His two requests for this special day was to redeem his birthday burger from Red Robin and buy some jeans at Buckle... and we accomplished both... coming away with two pairs of trendy jeans that look goooood on him :)
Later that week Jeff had a surprise trip. After eating breakfast, I handed him a packet of envelopes. The first envelope contained directions to a mysterious cabin. The following envelope was instructions on unloading his food, and entertainment for the weekend- some DVDs, a journal and Bible, and a few books. The thrid and final envelope was opened later that evening, after some surprise guests arrived. Some FIJI brothers made the trek over to the cabin (near Smithville). They had a fun night of being manly, watching sports, eating pizza, and trying to build a fire... :) Time to unwind, hang out with guys and spend time with the Lord was loooong overdue. We may need make this a yearly excursion...
We have no pics of that event- they didn't want any evidence to incriminate them, being their manly selves...:)
